Life in the rural areas of Kenya is quite different from that in the cities and towns. Some of these images were made during a tour of a Samburu village near Samburu NP in Kenya. We were impressed with the enthusiasm and cheerfulness of the people, in spite of the living conditions that one could characterize as harsh by our standards. Their lifestyle is probably little changed in many ways from that which existed when they first migrated to the region, except now they have a modern school nearby for primary education, and they have tourist groups to entertain and sell to.
