Moose, Marmots, and Other Wildlife
On each fall visit to Rocky Mountains National Park, we encountered young bull Moose in Sprague Lake, and Yellow-bellied Marmots in a certain rocky area near the highest point on Trail Ridge Road (over 12000 feet). We always love to watch the Marmots scurrying around, presumably getting ready for winter by gathering vegetation to store in their burrows.
